Dear supporter,
There’s been talk of another $100-billion spending splurge.
That’s a massive sum of money to borrow – for reasons that have nothing to do with the pandemic – to gamble away on pie-in-the-sky green experiments.
And it’s just one of the possibilities that could come in the upcoming throne speech from Prime Minister Justin Trudeau’s Liberals.
We’ve been watching the government extra closely since the COVID-19 pandemic struck. We know that it’s been a rough time for most Canadians and they’re still hurting. But we also know that as things begin to reopen, it’s critical that the government spend taxpayer dollars wisely while ensuring our economy gets back on track.
That’s why we’ve taken your feedback and built an open letter you can sign and send to the new finance minister, Chrystia Freeland. The letter lays out important recommendations. We’ve drafted it with options so you can choose the ones you want to send to Freeland.
Please take a minute to review the open letter, select the recommendations you support, and fill out your information so that we can send her your letter. You can read and sign the open letter here: https://www.taxpayer.com/en/open-letter-to-finance-minister-chrystia-freeland
Our new finance minister needs to hear from as many Canadian taxpayers as possible. So please share the link with your friends and family. The CTF will also be purchasing ads to share the open letter on social media channels.
Thanks for doing your part.
- Aaron, Scott, Todd, Shannon and the entire CTF team
PS: Help us reach more Canadians with the open letter. Even a $10 donation can help us put the letter in front of a 1,000 people. You can contribute through our secure donation website here: https://www.taxpayer.com/donate
