Earlier today in my note reflecting on the passing of Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg, I warned about the tough fights we have ahead of us. But I did not think Elise Stefanik would bring the fight to NY-21 so quickly.

At a campaign rally less than 24 hours after Justice Ginsburg's passing, Stefanik said Trump should disregard Justice Ginsburg’s dying wish that her replacement is chosen after the inauguration.

Instead, she says Trump and Mitch McConnell should nominate and confirm a new justice right away.
