Last night, we received the devastating news that we lost Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg -- a champion for justice and trailblazer for millions of women.

Justice Ginsburg not only defended but shaped our nation's highest ideals in landmark cases -- on gender equality, defending the Affordable Care Act, environmental protections, voting rights, LGTBQ rights, and in defense of Dreamers.

Trump and Mitch McConnell are already callously plotting on how to fill her vacancy before November 3rd. This comes despite her dying wish that she not be replaced until a new president is installed. It’s rank hypocrisy from McConnell, but it should come as no surprise that he would twist the knife so blatantly to advance his political agenda.

Today we mourn, but we are forced to take action by remembering what's at stake if Trump and McConnell get their way:

- Will we allow Trump to leave a permanent stamp on our nation by selecting three ultra-conservative judges to make critical decisions on health care, public education, and the climate crisis?
- Do we want a government that tells a woman what she can and can't do with her body?
- Will we allow unlimited dark money to flood our elections and wreak havoc on our democracy?

It's never been more urgent that we remove Mitch McConnell from power, and one of the best opportunities to do that is happening next door in Arizona where Mark Kelly is running for US Senate.
