A few weeks ago, I checked in to update you on the latest poll numbers in this race, which showed John leading Cory Gardner by 13 points. (That’s good news—but we’ll never let our guard down based on just one poll).

Then, just the other day, another poll came out showing that John is far and away Colorado voters’ top choice to defeat Cory Gardner, put a halt to Mitch McConnell’s obstruction and failed leadership, win back this seat (and even win back the Senate).

We like that news, too. But I repeat: We are not letting down our guard. The more polls like this that come out, the more Cory Gardner’s special-interest allies will rush to his aid. We already know one super PAC has formed with the explicit purpose of helping Republicans hold on to this seat. And we’re bracing for many more.

They’re going to come after us with everything they’ve got—and we need to be ready for anything.
