Our hearts are broken.

Ruth Bader Ginsburg was a hero for gender equality, racial justice, and climate justice. Our marching orders are clear: We must carry forward her fight for a more just and bright future for everyone.

If Mitch McConnell refuses Justice Ginsburg's dying wish and retreats from his commitment not to confirm Supreme Court justices in a presidential election year, a new Senate -- elected in November -- must be ready to kill the filibuster, expand the court, and save our democracy and our planet.

These legislative and judicial reforms aren't nice-to-haves. With a worsening climate crisis -- displacing and killing millions around the world -- they are must-haves. Today, we mourn a giant. But in the coming weeks and months, our actions in support of climate, racial, and reproductive justice will be driven by her legacy.
