Hi John,
We are heartbroken. We are scared. We are outraged. We are feeling things beyond words right now.
Losing Ruth Bader Ginsburg hurts in ways both personal and political.
In Judaism, when we lose someone, we say, "May their memory be a blessing." But
for RBG, may her memory be a revolution.
Her legacy of dissent, of standing up for what's right and just, lives on in all of us -- in every Run for Something candidate, in every member of our community, and in you, John.
So we know what we must do: get to work and fight for her legacy.
It is more true than ever -- Democrats have got to win it all.
Our presidential and the top Senate races are funded -- and, sure, it doesn't hurt to keep giving.
But, our Run for Something candidates aren't -- especially our folks in battleground states who need every last bit of help to drive up Democratic turnout efficiently and authentically.
And remember: The bad laws that go before SCOTUS get their start in state legislative chambers. We can stop laws meant to overturn
Roe v. Wade, dismantle voting rights, gut Obamacare, block LGBTQ+ rights, and enshrine white supremacy
before they even get argued before the justices.
So, you know what I'm going to ask -- please pitch in right now to help our candidates win it all and carry on RBG's legacy:
Together,
Amanda Litman
