Hi,

Last night, we lost Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg, the architect of gender equality in this country and a righteous fighter for justice. This is a tragic loss for our country and the Court. It feels so personal. I am heartbroken.

She worked as hard as she could for as long as she could. And now it’s up to us. It’s up to us to carry on her legacy, to carry on her work, to remind ourselves what’s at stake, and to recommit ourselves to this fight. Worry is not a strategy. Organizing is a strategy. That’s how we win, that’s how we honor her legacy.

I am going to promise you I will do three things. One, I will do everything in my power to make sure Joe Biden is elected our next president and will appoint a justice to replace Justice Ginsburg. Two, I will work hard to ensure I win re-election in November, so that Democrats have a chance to win back the Senate majority. And three, I will fight as hard as I possibly can to stop Mitch McConnell from filling this seat.

Mitch McConnell’s shameless hypocrisy and blatant disregard for democracy is disgusting. But, I need your help to send a strong message to Washington. We must make our voice loud and clear: we will not let Mitch McConnell confirm a judge. Everything is on the line.

So, will you take a minute to sign my petition demanding Mitch McConnell to not confirm a Supreme Court nominee before Inauguration Day? We know he is going to try his best to push someone through the confirmation process. Add your name now.

We must turn worry into action. We cannot sit on the sidelines at this moment. I am proud to have you next to me in this fight.

Thanks for signing on,

— Tina
