When Ruth Bader Ginsburg first walked up the Supreme Court steps, it was to argue a case. She lost. And then she climbed those steps again - winning every case she argued after that.

RBG's willingness to climb those steps and keep fighting gave us the gender equality we've all become accustomed to since. But it's important to remember: When RBG climbed those steps, everything she was arguing for seemed impossible.

RBG made the impossible possible, and, in doing that, she took us one giant step closer to the long-promised "Equal Justice Under Law" that's emblazoned on the Supreme Court.

I know, at a time like this, it would be easy to despair. But we cannot afford to. With all the uncertainty before us, one thing is certain: Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg would want you to act, to vote, to organize.

Join me in making good on all that RBG has given us. Help me make sure we keep her legacy alive. And, if you can afford a contribution, know that every dollar really will make a difference: [link removed]

This is the fight of our lives for our Democracy, for equality, and for the American ideals RBG committed her own extraordinary life to. I will do my part on the Senate floor and use every tool I have to make sure the American people's voices are heard. And your support will help me do everything I can beyond that.

Your Senator,

Martin Heinrich
