Hi John,
I was devastated last night to learn about Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg’s passing. She was a giant in the fight for a more just and fair society, a trailblazer who advanced the cause of justice and equality for all.
As a litigator and Supreme Court justice, she fought for women’s rights and transformed our legal system for the better. We owe so much to Justice Ginsburg, and right now our hearts are heavy with grief at what we’ve lost.
But her tireless work right until the very end speaks volumes about the legacy she leaves behind: she was always in the fight, and that fight made our country a better place.
Today we mourn. But Justice Ginsburg knew that our fight is far from over. The best way to honor her memory is to march forward, together, and work even harder than we did before.
I’ll leave you with these words from Justice Ginsburg: "Fight for the things that you care about, but do it in a way that will lead others to join you."
I hope you’ll join us in the fight. We need you now more than ever before. The best way to follow Justice Ginsburg’s advice is by signing up to volunteer right now. [ [link removed] ]
In solemn solidarity,
Kathleen
