POLITICO has warned Joe Biden's lead in North Carolina is shrinking -- and he's now virtually tied with Donald Trump in the key battleground state, according to a recent CNN poll.

The poll found 49% of voters in North Carolina favor Biden while 46% favor Trump -- a 3 point advantage that is barely outside the margin of error.

This is cause for alarm. Trump is gaining on Biden with less than two months left until Election Day, and there are still a long list of possible October surprises -- like Trump announcing a COVID vaccine or a potential change in jobs numbers or something more unexpected -- that could boost the president's odds even further.

We need to drum up enthusiasm for Joe Biden and Kamala Harris, and we need to do it now -- before these poll numbers get any worse.
