To honor Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg’s memory, we must save her legacy from those who wish to erase her life’s work.

Friend,

Days before her passing, Justice Ginsburg told her granddaughter, “My most fervent wish is that I will not be replaced until a new president is installed.”

Justice Ginsburg was a pioneer for gender equality in our country. As only the second woman to sit on the U.S. Supreme Court, she shaped our legal system like few in our history ever have. Through her powerful dissents, she taught us the importance of saying what is right, even when you come up short, because that dissent is a seed of hope that over time becomes change.

Moments after news broke of her passing, Mitch McConnell vowed to use this vacancy to allow Donald Trump to pack the Supreme Court even though voting has already started in this election. After stealing a Supreme Court seat from President Barack Obama, it’s clear McConnell’s conniving hypocrisy knows no bounds.

Urgent: Honor Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg’s final wish. Tell your senators to oppose any Supreme Court nominee until voters can have their say: [link removed]

Let’s be clear -- Republicans have been plotting to pack the Supreme Court for years, and they will not stop until they’ve dismantled our fundamental rights and tilted our judiciary in favor of wealthy corporations.

Overturning Roe v. Wade, undermining access to health care, rolling back protections for the LGBTQ+ community, and giving polluters a free pass to poison our air and water -- everything is on the line.

In her tenure as Supreme Court Justice, Ginsburg’s many notable opinions and fiery dissents advanced marriage equality, advocated for the rights of people with disabilities, for immigrants, for pay equality, for our voting rights, our access to affordable health care, the list goes on and on. She spent her life fighting for justice -- it’s now on us to carry on her fight.

Act now: Write to your senators and urge them to refuse to vote on any Supreme Court nominee until the American people can weigh in at the ballot box: [link removed]
