The news of Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg's passing hit us extremely hard last night. Many of us were in tears. She fought for basic human rights for all people -- and we're joining millions in mourning this loss.

We don't need to tell you that this also raises the stakes of an election in which people's lives were already on the line.

And in moments of despair, we choose to direct our grief into action. Those that want you to feel resigned and give up need that resignation in order to succeed. We refuse to give that to them.

The number one priority for us right now is to do everything we possibly can to secure electoral college victory in November. And the path to flipping the US Senate and delivering Texas' 38 Electoral Votes runs through a victory in #TX25.

I'm heading out the door to get my organizers into the field, and there are too many events for me to list here. Beginning this morning at 10am, contactless lit-drop events are happening all over the district, and there's one happening near you, I'm sure.

Before I head out, I'll leave you with remarks delivered at the National Museum of Women and the Arts in Washington, DC in 2015. Justice Ginsburg said, "Waste no time on anger, regret, or resentment, just get the job done.”
