On Constitution Day, Thursday, September 17, the National Constitution Center awarded the 32nd annual Liberty Medal to Justice Ginsburg for her efforts to advance liberty and equality for all. To honor Justice Ginsburg, the Center aired a video tribute featuring performances by internationally renowned opera singers and tributes from special friends of Justice Ginsburg.

Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg: A Constitutional Icon
The legacy of Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg will not be forgotten. On Thursday, the National Constitution Center awarded the 2020 Liberty Medal to the Justice. Earlier this week, host Jeffrey Rosen was joined on the podcast by two former clerks for Justice Ginsburg, Kelsi Corkran and Amanda Tyler, to discuss the Justice’s constitutional legacy both before and after joining the Supreme Court bench, including her trailblazing work as an advocate for gender equality.

On this episode you’ll hear the premiere performance of RESOLVED—a song cycle about the 19th Amendment and the American women’s suffrage movement by composer, soprano, and creator Patrice Michaels and performed by J'Nai Bridges—and a discussion by scholars on some of the iconic women highlighted in the performance. Jeffrey Rosen, president and CEO of the National Constitution Center, moderates.
