Friends,

I cannot imagine more crushing news.

Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg was a shining light for us all. Her intellect, advocacy, and sharp mind never let us down. She held our weight on her shoulders and fought fiercely for us all.

On the Bench, she was a trailblazer and a champion for equity who never shied away from doing what was right. She wasn't afraid. She met injustice with fire, and we are so lucky to have had her on the Supreme Court for nearly thirty years.

This is an enormous loss. It can be easy to fall victim to hopelessness, and to let fear take over. We should all take time to mourn. Justice Ginsburg was a giant, and she deserves to have her legacy honored and remembered.

But we also must fight on. Her legacy demands it. We must advance the causes she spent her life fighting for, and we cannot let progress stop in its tracks.

Today, we mourn. Tomorrow, we fight.
