John,
Yesterday a Federal Judge issued a federal injunction against Postmaster General DeJoy immediately halting any and all of the drastic operational changes he has tried to bring to our postal service just weeks before the most important election of our lifetimes.

While this ruling is an important victory for our democracy, I know that the fight is far from over. Will you stand with me in this fight by chipping in $10, $20, or $50 right away? >> [link removed]

Like many Americans, I was shocked and disheartened to see the removal and carting away of mail boxes and sorting machines just ahead of a major national election. Now, in the middle of a global pandemic, voters need to know that they can count on the USPS to safely and efficiently deliver their ballot so that their voice can be counted and our democracy preserved.

Donald Trump wants to use the USPS as his own private political arm, directly contradicting the basic mission of our postal service. As the People's Attorney I will always fight against voter disenfranchisement, which is exactly what Donald Trump and Louis DeJoy were trying to do with these senseless operational changes.

This federal ruling is certainly an important step in stopping the Trump/DeJoy duo in their tracks -- but I will remain constantly vigilant that our postal service does not come under further partisan attacks.

Every vote must be counted,
Ellen
