Congratulations to the Class of 2020 and thank you Emerge New Mexico network for all of your support!

Because of you, these leaders are ready to run for office and represent our communities. This year’s class showed an incredible amount of grit, heart, resilience and passion, as they successfully completed their signature candidate training program with Emerge New Mexico during a global pandemic virtually. In every way, the Class of 2020 demonstrated who they are as leaders.

As our nation grapples with a public health crisis, economic instability and a social uprising for racial justice, we need them in elected office now more than ever. We could not be prouder of what they have achieved these past few months. We wanted to share the love with our network and show you highlights from our graduation celebrations! Watch the slideshow!

Graduation Celebration Highlights from last week:

The Class of 2020 made history, during a moment in history! The Class of 2020 by the numbers:

• First virtual graduating class: 33 women trained across the state
• Two appointed officials during the signature program: Consilor Lan Sena and Judge Kate McGarry Ellenwood
• One of the most diverse classes: 63% identify as Black women, Indigenous women, and non-Black women of color
