John - we recently told you about how my opponent called me a femno-bot for supporting radical policies like pay equity, protecting reproductive rights, creating greater access to childcare, and just generally, being a woman... We were just trying to maintain a sense of humor about this bizarre comment from a CD5 candidate, but now it's become even more clear;
if ever there was a district that needs a femno-bot in Congress it is this one.
Yesterday, my opponent Congressman Doug Lamborn voted against H.R.2694 - Pregnant Workers Fairness Act [[link removed]] . This bill requires employers to make reasonable accomodations for pregnant people and outlaws discrimination. This vote is the epitome of hypocrisy, especially considering just two days ago he boasted about his "pro-life" record. I will never understand how someone can support forcing people to give birth and in the next breath refuse to provide reasonable accomodations for one of the most difficult experiences people will ever navigate.
This vote was very much in line with his long history of discrimination against women. He voted against the Lilly Ledbetter Equal Pay Act, the Violence Against Women Act, and has repeatedly voted to limit access to contraception and sex education. Doug Lamborn is toxic to women and families. Please help me kick him out of Congress.
Will you chip in $250, $100, $75, $20, or even $1 to help us win in November [[link removed]] ?
Thank you for standing with this PROUD femno-bot!
