John -- President Trump said the following on Wednesday night about the 200,000 Americans who have died from COVID-19 this year:

"If you take the blue states out, we're at a level that I don't think anybody in the world would be at. We're really at a very low level. But some of the states, they were blue states and blue-state-managed."Trump’s statement dismisses tens of thousands of Americans who have died from COVID-19 because they lived in a state that did not support him politically in 2016 -- including his supporters who live in “blue” states.

This mentality has been entirely created by the Electoral College -- which not only allows candidates to focus their campaigning efforts to a handful of specific states, but now has resulted in the president giving favorable treatment to “red” states.

The president represents the entire country -- not just the states from which they won electoral votes. The only way to ensure our president governs every state equally is to elect our president by National Popular Vote.

Proposition 113 is on the ballot in Colorado this November.
