John,
Early voting began in Minnesota, South Dakota, Virginia, and Wyoming today. It's clear that our national organizing plan for the election could not be more critical:
Voters are saying they're worried about their votes being counted, similar to what we've heard from younger voters and in communities of color for months. But to defeat Trump and fight for the future we deserve, we can't afford to leave any votes on the table. That's why we're asking:
Will you rush a contribution to the Working Families Party's general election GOTV fund today so we have the resources that we'll need to educate and mobilize voters in key battleground states? We need to raise $300,000 online by the end of September to sustain this work:

No voter should be uncomfortable enough with voting at home that they are unmotivated to do it at all — but the reality is that mail delays and systemic voter suppression in Black and brown communities have sown the distrust in mail-in ballots we're seeing today.
That's why WFP organizers and volunteers are taking a community-first organizing approach to mobilize voters in crucial battleground states like Pennsylvania. Through talking about the issues that matter to working families, we believe that we can empower voters who don't always vote to participate in the election and build confidence in the voting process — all while deepening the movement we'll need to support post-election legislative fights.
But with so many unknowns in this election year, we have to be prepared to pivot voter outreach messages and methods quickly. As states, cities, and other municipalities look to installing more ballot dropboxes, expanding early voting hours, and adjusting deadlines for how long mail-in ballots can be counted according to when they are postmarked, we have to keep up with all the changes.
That kind of flexibility requires real resources. If you can afford it at this time, rush a contribution to our general election GOTV fund right now so we can empower a record number of voters to turn out in this election.
Making Trump a one-term president is both our moral mandate and a necessary step toward building the world we all want to see. Let's keep at it.
In solidarity,
All of us at the Working Families Party
