Many of our leaders in Washington continue to ignore the role that the scorching summer heat from climate change has played in the fires devastating California and the Northwest, and it’s clear we need leaders who will address the real and present threat of climate change. But as the fires rage, a climate-denier has been hired to fill a top role at the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, and our president dismisses the climate chaos, saying “It’ll get cooler.”

As long as this administration and its bought-and-paid-for lackies hold power, science and the future of our planet are under direct attack. We need to make sure scientists have a seat at the table -- and I’m so thankful that you are with me in this race to defeat my science-denier opponent, Lee Zeldin.
