While folks head to the polls in NC-09, I hope you'll give me a chance to explain why a donation split between my campaign and the DNC matters so much in this moment, John.
Back in 2016, Donald Trump won my district by nearly 12 points. But just last year, my campaign only fell behind by 905 votes. 905 votes despite massive Republican election fraud. The elections board called for a new election, and now we have a real shot at winning this thing on Tuesday. I cannot begin to explain what a huge loss it would be for Republicans if we did.
This race could be the canary in the coal mine for what is to come in 2020. That's exactly why outside GOP groups have poured over $6 million into my district. We cannot afford to come up short on Tuesday, so I am reaching out to grassroots supporters like you now to ask you to help us cross the finish line.
