John,
It’s been a week of stomach-churning revelations. Thanks to a brave whistleblower, Dawn Wooten, we’ve learned that dozens of women in ICE custody had their wombs or other reproductive organs removed without their consent—and the horror stories just keep rolling in.
As a nation, we’ve witnessed immigration officials’ cruelty and abuse escalate for years. We can’t let this pattern continue—lives are on the line.
We must come together to show immigration authorities and the world that we REFUSE to watch idly as atrocities are committed in our name.
Next week, Families Belong Together is calling for a wave of vigils from coast to coast in support of women, children and families harmed by ICE.
We’ll reach back out once these events are live—for now, can you sign our pledge and make a promise to take action next week in your neighborhood, or online?
This week’s news has shaken our country to the core. By coming together to make our voices heard and denounce the cruelty of our immigration system, we can start to create the changes we need for all families to be safe, free, and together.
Take the pledge today. Then, get ready to mobilize next week as vigils are hosted around the country.
Thanks for being part of this movement,
Cheska Perez
