With major accomplishments under its belt, the student organization Transparent GMU is sunsetting its work and supporting the launch of a new project: UnKoch GMU! Join UnKoch GMU for their first interest meeting of the Fall semester on Tuesday, September 22 at 6pm ET to learn about the next stage of this movement.

This online meeting will provide an overview of the significance of Koch-funding at George Mason University, taking a close look at how the consequences of this funding affects students, our communities, and public policy at the state and federal levels. Students will review their vision for a multi-strategy campaign to remove Koch-funded research centers from campus, share upcoming actions, and discuss ways you can get involved!

Koch-funded research centers on Mason's campus are actively destroying our democracy. This includes leading the charge against Medicare for All, promoting inaction on climate change, and training judges to issue longer prison sentences and overturn regulations protecting workers and the environment.

Come learn about who Charles Koch is, why he invests so heavily in higher education, and what you can do about it!
