John,
It looks like FCC Commissioner Ajit Pai will do anything to make himself look good—even lie about broadband stats.
Last year, Pai presented inaccurate data on broadband availability to make it look like more people have access to high-speed Internet than really do, in an effort to show that his repeal of net neutrality “worked.”1
But he was using data from an ISP called BarrierData that falsely claimed to be providing broadband to millions of people who they weren’t.2 And the FCC has known since 2018 that BarrierData was providing inaccurate data.
Two things are clear: first, that we need to continue to watch everything Pai does and call out all of his bad actions; and second, we need to keep fighting to reinstate net neutrality and to ensure that the more-than 21 million people without broadband access can get online.
Can you donate right now to keep fighting Pai, and keep up the fight for net neutrality?

NET NEUTRALTIY
This isn’t the first time time that Pai has lied about how repealing net neutrality has impacted people.3,4 His claim that repealing net neutrality would result in more investment in broadband has been proven to be false.
Millions of people still don't have high-speed Internet access. And in the past six months of the COVID-19 pandemic we’ve seen how Pai’s actions have put these people in harm’s way: unable to work, learn, or access lifesaving information.
This is unacceptable, which is why we’re still fighting to restore net neutrality, and pushing for legislation that will help get people online now. If you can, keep up the fight with us and chip in today.

Caitlin at Fight for the Future
