Hey Swing Left,

There are only 45 days until Election Day, and we have to make sure we’re channelling our time and energy into the races that need our help most. That’s why we’re teaming up with Collective PAC to make sure five Black candidates at the Senate and state legislature level have the support they need to compete.
Build Black power by supporting Jaime Harrison, Marc Arnett, Kimberly Hardy, Regina Lewis-Ward, Virginia Cox-Daugherty

At the Senate level Jaime Harrison has the best chance to unseat Lindsey Graham since he first joined the Senate in 2002.  In fact, a recent poll found them TIED at 48 percent support each. A win here would be huge—it would put Democrats one step closer to flipping the Senate and turning once-red South Carolina blue. State legislature races across the country determine which party draws the Congressional maps in 2021, heavily influencing who wins the House in 2022.

Help create a government truly for and of the people. Donate today to send funds to five Black candidates running at the Senate and state legislative levels—every single dollar goes directly to candidates.

Candidates of color often face more barriers than White candidates when running for office. They have to work harder to prove their “viability” and attract donors.1 Meanwhile, the White incumbents have war chests and connections to wealthy donors. As a result, Black people hold 771 out of 7,383 state legislature seats and only three out of 100 seats in the Senate. That’s not enough. But together, we can bridge these fundraising gaps and elect candidates that represent all Americans—that looks like America.

We know change is possible. In 2018, Democrats elected the most diverse House in history. The Collective PAC has helped 55 candidates win elections at the local, state, and federal level since 2016. We have to keep that momentum going.

If you’ve been thinking about donating to candidates, now is the time to do so. Candidates have just 45 days to fund staff and programs that could make or break their election. The longer you wait to donate, the less effective your dollars are.

Don’t wait—donate to make sure these five Black candidates have the resources they need to flip a crucial Senate seat and state legislature seats all over the country in November.
