In a tweet on his Twitter page on Wednesday, Editor-in-Chief of The Daily Wire and host of “The Ben Shapiro Show” Ben Shapiro blasted the Democratic climate change town hall as a “litany of promises to worsen Americans’ lives.” “This Democratic climate change town hall is their worst political nightmare,” said Ben Shapiro in a tweet. “It is a litany of promises to worsen Americans’ lives in ways that will utterly fail to assuage climate change. It’s political suicide, and useless to boot.” Ben Shapiro’s remarks stem from the seven-hour CNN “climate crisis” town hall that took place on Wednesday. 10 Democratic presidential candidates participated in the CNN-hosted event in New York City that focused on what CNN calls “the climate crisis.” CNN explained “why this matters,” suggesting, “[m]any candidates have unveiled policy proposals to address the threat posed by a warming planet.
