Hi John,

Donald Trump threatened to cut federal funding for school districts that defied his demands to reopen in-person classes in the fall -- and now the American Academy of Pediatrics has reported over 70,000 new COVID-19 cases in children, just two weeks after schools started under his command.

House Democrats called for an additional $175 billion of funding for local schools to help them implement increased sanitation efforts and social distancing guidelines -- especially since data shows children between the ages of 10 and 19 can spread the virus at similar rates to adults.

Republicans blocked these efforts.

Instead, the GOP has proposed a new relief plan that includes less funding for schools -- all while experts are warning that student infections will continue to spike, especially amid colder weather and the upcoming flu season.

As Congress debates its next relief package, we’re conducting a survey to find out what engaged voters think about relief funding for our public schools while they reopen for the academic year. Today, we want to hear from you and see where YOU stand:

Do you support the GOP's plan to defund our schools?
