The GOP is actively trying to keep people from voting this election.
We saw them succeed in Texas, where thousands of voters didn’t have their voices heard because they simply never got their ballots. We saw them succeed in Wisconsin, where long lines and last-minute polling place closures suppressed the voices of Demcratic voters -- particularly voters of color.
We’d hate to see the GOP succeed in November. That’s why we’re fighting the Republicans every step of the way and advocating for crucial Democratic issues -- like expanding access to health care, taking bold action on climate change, and protecting the right to vote.
But Republicans are planning to spend at least $20 million fighting against voting rights in court. And Trump and the RNC have already spent over a billion dollars this election cycle alone. The GOP is so desperate to win that they’re willing to spend every cent they have to suppress Democratic votes -- even if it means destroying the Post Office in the process.
This attack on our democracy cannot stand. But we can’t oppose the GOP war machine without the resources to match -- and unfortunately, Progressive Majority is currently $2,569 short of our fundraising goal.
