Voting has already started in 9 states.

North Carolina and North Dakota have sent ballots to voters. Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Minnesota, Wyoming, Virginia, Vermont, and South Dakota all start in-person early voting this weekend.

In order to defeat Trump, flip the Senate and win critical local elections nationwide, we must mobilize to get out to vote. But that isn’t going to be easy, because Trump and his Republican allies have ramped up every single voter suppression tactic they can think of to try and keep our voters home.

That’s where you come in.

This weekend we will Text Out The Vote prioritizing electoral college battlegrounds and districts with competitive Senate, House, or state legislative targets and a high density of New American Majority voters. That’s the Black, brown, and white progressives voters we need to get out the vote to win. Sign up to text voters now!

What voters are we talking to?

Voters of color between the ages of 18-55 and who have not voted in at least one of the last four elections.
White voters identified using layered demographic information and direct in-district knowledge to mobilize high-potential progressives who have not voted in at least one of the last four elections.

What are we mobilizing voters to do?

Working with our partners -- Black Male Voter Project, She the People, and VoteAmerica -- we'll drive over 5 million direct voter contacts with this super-targeted pool of high-impact voters, ensuring that in the midst of 2020 chaos, and ever-changing state guidelines, dates, and regulations, they have what they need to successfully:

Apply to vote by mail
Update their registration
Find their early vote locations and vote early
Vote for candidates fighting for racial and economic justice
Vote early or on Election Day

Contacting 5 million voters is not a small goal and deadlines are fast approaching. We need you to carve out 2 hours (or more) of your time this weekend to Text Out The Vote. Please RSVP immediately.

By the way, whoever said that texting from home has to be lonely? Definitely not us.

Each shift starts with a Zoom training lead by one of our experts. You’ll learn how to sign in, get the info you need, and start texting right away... but you’ll never need to leave the zoom call.

Instead, dozens of DFA members will text voters together in a virtual phone bank on Zoom that allows us all to stay together. We’ll use the chat to answer questions, have fun and build community while we all do the critically important work needed to win this election
