Yet again, Donald Trump is using his tried-and-true strategy of making outrageous and false claims to distract us from his administration's very real atrocities.

He doesn't want us to notice all of his shady activity and is using the upcoming election as a diversion tactic.

But after receiving a credible whistleblower complaint of medical atrocities and detainee mistreatment at ICE facilities, I've just called to open an emergency investigation.

These latest allegations report major red flags regarding the rate at which hysterectomies are being performed on immigrant women and accusations of forced sterilization of these women.

This is a tried and true strategy that Trump has deployed since his appointment — use outrageous statements to draw public attention away from his misconduct and illegal activity. Don't look away.

I will continue to investigate Donald Trump and his administration's wrongdoing at every chance I get. But right now, one of the most effective ways to put an end to Trump's reign of terror is by casting your ballot and voting him out in November.
