If you’re subscribed to our weekly election-mobilization series, you’re used to getting emails from me that are pretty upbeat, and -- at the very least -- make an attempt at humor. This is a more serious email.
That’s because, with hours left until many of us sign off before Rosh Hashanah, we’re significantly short of our Rosh Hashanah goal.

I know there are a lot of emails about critical deadlines and sketchy-sounding 8x matches this time of year, so I want to be as transparent as possible: Our Rosh Hashanah drive is one of the two most important grassroots fundraising periods of the year and our best hope of closing current gaps in our budget.
Hitting the operating goal we’ve set will allow us to turn 100% of our focus toward the election, where J Street is making a difference -- through political funding and our largest-ever volunteering effort -- in over 185 races across the nation.
It will mean we can run our national game plan to replace Trump and his acolytes with leaders who share our vision for a true peace in the Middle East, based on a just resolution to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict that grants Israelis and Palestinians the freedom, rights and security they deserve.
For four years, we’ve stood together to fight this administration’s reckless and divisive agenda. Now, on the precipice of a new year that affords us the chance to win that fight and usher in a new beginning for US leadership, we need you with us more than ever.
