Earlier this week, Kamala Harris spoke out against the historic wildfires that have killed at least 35 Americans and burned millions of acres in the western United States. "This is not a partisan issue," Harris said. "Ideology should not kick in. It's just a fact. And it is incumbent on us, in terms of the leadership of...our nation, to take seriously the extreme changes in our climate, and to do what we can to mitigate against the damage."

But Donald Trump doesn't agree. During his briefing on the wildfires on Monday, Trump downplayed climate change's role in the wildfires, blaming them on poor forest management instead. Trump's response to officials pleading he listen to science and global warming? "It will start getting cooler. You just watch."
