We can’t win back the Senate without winning in North Carolina. It’s that simple.

That’s why I hope you’ll join me in supporting Cal Cunningham’s campaign for the U.S. Senate before the upcoming end-of-quarter fundraising deadline.

I’m sure I don’t need to remind you of how high the stakes are this fall. As we continue to navigate a global pandemic, too many of our friends and neighbors don’t have access to the health care they deserve and need. Here in Virginia, I’m so proud that our Democratic leaders expanded Medicaid, helping hundreds of thousands of folks get the coverage they need. But in North Carolina, it hasn’t happened yet. It’s a prime example of why it’s so important to elect leaders who will fight for the health and well-being of all those they represent.

I’m confident that’s what Cal will do.

Cal has dedicated his career to serving others, in the U.S. Army Reserve, in the State Senate, and in his community in North Carolina. That spirit of service is exactly what we need in the Senate right now.

And Brandt, he’s got a great chance of winning this seat. All the major election forecasters rate this race a “toss-up” and he’s building a strong, people-powered team. Most of the recent polls show a race that’s tied or within the margin of error. But we can’t take anything for granted. It’s going to be close, and Cal can’t flip this seat alone.
