Test and trace is in free fall. If you're feeling worried about test and trace, you're not alone. It's so clear that the privatisation of both is failing. The government won't admit its failings and let the NHS and local public health teams lead, and it's causing SO much distress and harm. So we're going to mobilise to make them listen.

Testing is being run by the likes of private corporations G4S, Serco and Deloitte, and they're failing. While we've found it hard to get access to the contracts for contact tracing, insider sources ([link removed]) suggest that Sitel's contracts for contact tracing are set to be renewed on October 4th. We don't know how long Serco's has been renewed for but we think it is likely to be similar.

Regardless of whether that is the case, we need to ramp up the pressure to push for contact tracing and testing that is run in public hands, for people not profit.

Serco have got multiple contracts and failing on each one. Contact tracing staff reported that they had nothing do but watch Netflix all day, so we decided to host an event with you calling on people to Netflix and rise up! 🙃 👿

We have a week of actions we need you to take part in, so that Matt Hancock feels that he has to act to give local NHS and public health teams more funds - all we need you to do is join us on Monday 21st, for an hour at 6:30pm! ([link removed])

Today's headlines show Amazon could be in line to get a huge test and trace contract too! The constant cash giveaways to private companies won't stop unless we show our resistance to them together.
