I wasn’t happy when I learned that we missed our mid-month fundraising goal last night. I was concerned about our budget at a time when corporate special interest groups are ramping up their attacks, Donald Trump is returning to our state, and the polls show our campaign statistically tied.

But we’ve seen a huge show of energy today since Cal extended our deadline, and I really think we’re on pace to get back on track by tomorrow night and keep our budget intact.

Look, the goals we set are real. I know a lot of campaigns send you ridiculous emails about FINAL NOTICES or telling you ALL HOPE IS LOST — but we don’t do that. We tell you the truth.

So, please know that I mean it when I say this might be the most important fundraising deadline of our campaign. People are voting in North Carolina as we speak, and we need these resources now to reach them:
