California has the strongest gun laws in the nation, and they are making a difference. From 1993 to 2018, California’s firearm mortality rate declined by 57 percent — almost four times the decrease in the rest of the nation.
At least part of this success can be attributed to Brady California leaders, who have helped pass more than 80 gun safety laws in the last 15 years alone.
