We just got the newest numbers from the Secretary of State’s office, and here’s the headline:
40,810 Kansas Democrats have already requested advance ballots.
That’s over forty thousand Kansans who’ve raised their hand and said: I’m voting, and I’m voting early. It’s a sign of how fired up this state is, with a Senate race tied 45 to 45, a Governor’s race on a knife’s edge, and an Attorney General’s race that’s the #1 pickup opportunity in the country.
But here’s the thing we all know: a requested ballot isn’t a cast ballot.
|
Between the request and the count, a lot can go wrong. Ballots sit on kitchen counters. Envelopes go unsigned. Signatures don’t match. Mail runs late. This summer, more than a thousand Wyandotte County ballots were sent with a bad return address. And right now, a federal whistleblower is warning that the Postal Service’s new ballot system could leave voters without their ballots in time.
Every one of those is a vote that could quietly disappear. In races across the state decided by a few thousand votes, we can’t afford to lose a single one.
So starting today, we’re going all-in on one mission: making sure every Democratic ballot gets returned, and every one gets counted. Not most of them. Every single one.
|
We will not let a single Kansas Democrat’s vote fall through the cracks: not to a late mail truck, not to a missed deadline, not to a technicality. Every ballot that’s been requested is a voice that deserves to be heard, and we intend to fight for every one of them between now and Election Day.
That fight takes resources, in the next 19 days, when it matters most. And it runs on grassroots money.

Can you chip in to fund the ballot chase and make sure every one of these 40,810 Democratic ballots gets counted?
Over forty thousand Democrats did their part by requesting a ballot. Let’s do ours by making sure every one of them counts.

P.S. If you requested an advance ballot, don’t wait. Fill it out, sign it, and return it as soon as you can, in person or at a drop box if possible. Then chip in here so we can make sure your neighbors' ballots count too.
