Justice Democrats

John, this is a long email but we hope that you’ll read the entire thing.

When we launched Justice Democrats after Bernie’s 2016 campaign, we had one goal: to transform the Democratic Party to fight for everyday, working-class people and put their interests above corporate special interests.

In 2018, we had some incredible victories, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez shocked the entire political establishment when she defeated Joe Crowley in NY-14 and Ayanna Pressley also ousted corporate-backed incumbent, Mike Capuano, in MA-07.

In 2020, we’ve had three amazing victories so far with Jamaal Bowman, Marie Newman, and Cori Bush all defeating entrenched incumbents and successfully taking on the status quo.

Our power comes from supporters just like you, John. Our supporters and volunteers are chipping in to fund our work, and leading phone banks and text banks to reach voters in our target districts. Our grassroots supporters are the reason why JD is possible in the first place.

Now, we want to bring even more people into our movement so we can continue to build power. Every person who joins JD helps us reach more voters, spread our message to more people on social media, and raise more money from grassroots contributions.

Here’s are our numbers that show how we’ve grown our movement’s email list since October 2019:

Our goal is to bring another 100,000 folks into our movement before the year ends.

Spreading the word about JD and our platform and getting folks to sign up to join us costs a considerable amount of money. We’re running ads so more folks join us in our fight to transform the Democratic Party from the inside out and it costs about $1.33 to bring a new person into our movement.

Will you contribute $3 — or any amount that you can afford — to help us recruit 100,000 more supporters to join our movement and help us elect the next Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez?

Contribute $3

We need a Democratic Party that fights for its voters, not corporate donors. Thank you for being a part of our team to fight for the future we know all of us deserve.

In solidarity,

Justice Democrats

Do not worry if you cannot afford to make a contribution — we understand that this is a difficult time. If you’re struggling, you can find a food bank here. We appreciate everything you do to keep our movement strong.
