Team Sierra is committing to 60 minutes outdoors each day.
Hi Supporter,

Last week, we introduced The Outdoors Effect -- a challenge to get people to come together virtually to connect with nature. Together, the group has already logged 1600 minutes outdoors this week and raised $775 to make the outdoors more accessible for everyone. Will you join them?

We’ve seen -- and continue to see -- how communities of color and low-income communities are disproportionately affected when it comes to access to nature. Over 74% of both communities of color and low-income communities live in nature deprived areas.

Sierra Club Outdoors for All works to ensure everyone has access to the healing power of the outdoors - because access to nature is a human right. When you join us for The Outdoors Effect, you’re not only committing to yourself by pledging time outdoors, but you’re raising money so that everyone has the opportunity to do the same.

We originally planned for this challenge to last until the end of this month, but have extended the end date until October 10th. We’re thinking of our friends on the West Coast affected by the wildfires, and are hopeful that they’ll soon be able to join us in getting outdoors safely. You can sign up today and read the details on how everything works on our website.

I’m here for questions, too, so don’t hesitate to reply to this email.

Thanks for all you do,

Jenny Muschinske
