As we look toward November, there is no issue more pressing than finding a way to navigate through COVID-19 and recover from it.

In Phoenix, we have:

Ensured that no city employee was laid off so residents could count on the city to provide essential services

Committed $30 million in utility, rent, and mortgage assistance

Provided 914,600 library materials to residents

Procured 1.3 million pieces of PPE for 29 school districts/300 schools

Held 64 COVID testing events across the city

Served 65,588 meals to homebound seniors

However, the job is far from done. To remain a strong and prosperous city, Phoenix needs to continue forward with a plan to fully recover from COVID’s impact on the economy.

I am confident that together we can recover from this pandemic stronger than when we went into it.

But first, we must get through what will be one of the most crucial elections of our lifetime. If you're able, will you chip in to my re-election campaign?

I want you to know -- I don't take your support lightly. Every contribution made translates into real momentum in this race.

Thank you for all of your hard work,

-- Mayor Kate Gallego
