Hey John — it’s Paige Cognetti. I wanted to write you a quick note to tell you about myself and why this race is more important than ever. But first, can you chip in to help me fight back against the NRCC’s attacks?

I’m a mom, wife, and the Mayor of Scranton, PA. I’ve always had a vision that the government should work as hard as the people it serves.

I ran for mayor after Scranton’s previous mayor pleaded guilty to federal charges and resigned in disgrace. I felt then, as I do now, that I didn’t want to raise my daughters in a place where corruption, abuse, and fraud in government are okay.

Northeastern Pennsylvania's current congressman is not fighting for us. A culture of corruption and an abuse of our trust define Congressman Rob Bresnahan’s first term — blatant lies, trading stocks off his votes, and lining his pockets at the expense of hardworking people in our district.

We’re less than three weeks away from the general election, and this race is a critical TOSS-UP Red-to-Blue seat. Two polls show us ahead by a couple points, and we need to maintain that slim lead over the next three weeks. Please, will you chip in?

[link removed] [[link removed]]I'm Paige Cognetti. I ran for Mayor of Scranton as an independent to reform a corrupt City Hall. Over the past six years I've lowered costs, cut red tape, invested in public safety, brought in hundreds of new businesses, and created jobs. I'm running for Congress in PA-8 to take on a corrupt Washington, because government should work as hard as the people it serves.
If you're with me, join us by chipping in today. [[link removed]]
