We've been keeping a close eye on GOP campaign spending and recently we've seen a few surprises we want to tell you about.

It looks like Donald Trump and his allies are spending BIG in states where EMILY's List Senate women are currently on the ballot.

Here's why we're concerned: Trump is highly effective at turning out his base. And when his base turns out to vote for him in states like Minnesota, Texas, and Iowa, it seriously hurts our Senate candidates -- and our chance to flip the Senate.

We recently learned that Donald Trump is planning to spend more on television ads in Minnesota than he is in Michigan or Wisconsin, two major battleground states.

In terms of online advertising, the president and his allies are spending more on Facebook ads in Texas than in any other state.

And, as of this week, the GOP has spent nearly $10 million in Iowa.

This cycle, Republicans are making BIG plays in places we didn't expect -- and that poses a major threat to some of our Senate candidates.

In each of these states, Senate race polling is within single digits. We can't afford for the other side to get a leg up, especially not this late in the game.
