Dear PFAW Member,
Like many military families across the country, one of the greatest worries we had during our son’s service to the nation was his safety and well-being.
Countless men and women have sacrificed with such selflessness by dedicating their time, safety, and sometimes their lives, to these United States of America. Such was the case with my son, Humayun, when he was killed while protecting the lives of his fellow servicemembers in Iraq.
My son’s sacrifice, along with that of countless others, came under attack by President Trump in recent weeks with new reporting out from The Atlantic that described, on numerous occasions, the disdain and dishonor Trump has shown towards those who have served and, in particular, those who have died or been wounded during their tours of duty.
It’s yet another egregious example of how Trump has proven he is unfit and undeserving of holding the office of the President and serving as the Commander-in-Chief.
I’m proud to stand with People For the American Way’s efforts to defeat Trump and his enablers to end his attacks on the American Way and restore decency at the top of our government.
All online donations to PFAW will be 3X-MATCHED before this week’s urgent deadline.
Throughout his presidency, Trump has continued to demonstrate he lacks the decency, humility, and integrity to lead our nation and represent the men and women in uniform with honor. While Trump hollowly extols the military in public, he disparages their service behind closed doors.
With just over a month left until the November election, Trump and his Republican enablers are intensifying their efforts to further instill fear in their supporters, gaslight the public, and distract from Trump’s many failures and lies.
But with our collective vote, and your support, friend, we have the power to put an end to the madness that has engulfed our nation for the past three and a half years.
