million Americans are receiving unemployment aid right now. Millions more
are one emergency expense away from being broke. But for some reason,
Republican leaders in the Senate think that doesn’t require decisive
action.
Since the beginning of this pandemic, Americans have received just one
$1,200 check to make it through. Now, McConnell won’t even send a second
one, despite how many people are suffering.
Let’s be honest here: Even just two $1,200 checks isn’t enough. That’s why
Ro’s been fighting for $2,000 recurring payments for every family –
because working people deserve some room to breathe.
