We just got a huge update below from Gina Hinojosa’s campaign in
Texas! Multiple polls have
shown her up against Greg Abbott.

This race, especially in the environment we’re in, is winnable. It’s a
race that has been overlooked and critically underinvested in by most of
the national party. We need to expand our map and pick bolder fights.

A new
poll just came out showing me at 48% and Greg Abbott at 47%:

That's the fourth public poll in the last three weeks with us ahead. A few
months ago, plenty of people didn't think we'd be anywhere near this close
to flipping Texas.

But we can’t waste a second celebrating. One point is well within the
margin of error, and 5% of voters are still undecided. This race is a true
toss-up, and what happens in the next few days will determine how it ends.

So far in this race, Abbott has outspent us 10 to 1, putting most of a
$106 million war chest into ads, and we are still tied. That’s remarkable.
It means that he hasn’t been able to buy an insurmountable lead in this
race, and your support has kept us competitive.

But he still has plenty of money left, and that’s a problem. The latest
campaign finance reports just came out:

Cash on hand: TX-GOV
🔴 Abbott — $17.3 million
🔵 Hinojosa — $4.1 million

He has more than four times as much cash on hand as we do, and he's going
to spend it all. Early voting starts next Monday. Between now and then,
the undecided voters who will decide this race are going to see a lot of
Greg Abbott ads, and I need to make sure they hear from us too.
