Remember Doc Antle from Tiger King? He's a Fortenberry donor – so are CEOs, Pete Ricketts, big pharma, corrupt casinos... the list goes on and on.
Kate Bolz for Congress

Hey, remember this guy?

This is Doc Antle. He was featured on the Netflix documentary Tiger King.

Doc Antle

He gave $1,000 to Jeff Fortenberry’s campaign.

Let me back up: Doc Antle runs an unlicensed zoo in South Carolina where he breeds hundreds of lion and tiger cubs to use as photo props, then mistreats the animals when they grow up. In addition to USDA investigations finding him guilty of animal cruelty, the documentary exposed several claims of inappropriate relationships with his underpaid, mostly-female staff.

Doc Antle is questionable at best. And he’s a major donor to Jeff Fortenberry.

One sketchy donor could be a fluke. But this is a pattern – take a look at the rogues gallery of Fort’s major donors:

  • Raymond Debbane, CEO of a billion-dollar investment firm in New York
  • Cherna Moskowitz, owner of a casino recently disciplined for violating Federal Treasury laws
  • The American Bankers PAC, just one of the banking, insurance, and stock market PACs that fund Fortenberry (there are dozens)
  • Pfizer, the billion-dollar pharmaceutical company
  • Nebraska Governor Pete Ricketts… who is also funded by folks like these.

This is not the kind of company I want my congressman to be keeping! It's clear who Fortenberry is working for – and it’s not the people of Nebraska.

Chip in $20.20 to elect a congresswoman with scruples →

Kate Bolz is running for Congress to fire Fortenberry and bring some Nebraska values back to Washington. Her “major donors” are regular Nebraskans who chip in $10 or $25 when they can, and the “bank” she works for is the Lincoln Food Bank, where she goes to volunteer.

We’re working overtime to elect Kate and make some much-needed progress for the working folks of Nebraska’s 1st District. We’re fighting for health care, unions, strong schools, and leaders you can respect.

But if we’re going to stay competitive with Fort’s long list of sketchy billionaires, this people-powered campaign will need all hands on deck. With 47 days until the election, can I count on you to pledge a contribution?

If pledging a donation isn't for you, consider making a one-time contribution. Every dollar truly does count – and we're getting down to the wire.

Thanks for your continued support. Let's do this.

Together,

Brent
