Hey Swing Left,

Big news—our friends at Vote Forward just confirmed that together, we’ve written 6 million letters to likely-Democratic voters this year. That’s huge. That’s enormous. That’s immense.

And now we’re going to go even bigger—the only way we’ll win this November is by turning out a wave of Democratic voters. The polls might look good for Democrats now, but their lead could evaporate in a news cycle. And we know we’re fighting uphill against GOP voter suppression, gerrymandering, and misinformation.

We have to keep doing our part to get out the vote. So Vote Forward is hosting a week-long letter writing challenge to write 1 million “please vote" letters to voters, starting with a virtual kickoff event with the cast of Hamilton. Join Monday’s event for performances from the Hamilton songbook, trivia, and a letter-writing training with Lin-Manuel Miranda.

Due to COVID, we can’t knock doors this election, making letter writing more necessary than we ever could have imagined. That’s why we’re all working so hard to write 1 million letters next week and reach voters on our outreach list.
