Friend, As a former Lieutenant Colonel who served in the Iowa Army National Guard for 23 years and now a Senator on the Armed Services Committee, I have fought hard for America’s national security. I understand the threats we face, and I am committed to keeping America strong. I truly believe it is vital that we strengthen our relationships with our allies. The U.S.-Israel relationship benefits both America and Israel and is critical for our security. That’s why we need to stand with Israel and the Israeli people as they defend themselves.
