John,

Our military service members are risking their lives to protect our right
to vote – but with a flood of absentee ballots expected to cause delays in
vote tallying this year, their votes may not count. That outcome would be
unacceptable.

We're launching [ [link removed] ]Count Every Hero, an urgent campaign backed by a
cross-partisan coalition of veterans and concerned patriots demanding that
every service member’s vote is counted in November before a winner is
declared. Help spread the word about this vital, nonpartisan campaign by
sharing the launch post on [ [link removed] ]Facebook and [ [link removed] ]Twitter.

Most overseas military service members vote absentee by mail. They don’t
have a choice – they make their voices heard from wherever they are
stationed, whether it's on a submarine or in a combat zone – and it can
take time for their ballots to arrive. With an influx of Americans voting
by mail this year, it could take days, or even weeks, to count every vote.

In the majority of states – those that hold well over half of the votes in
the Electoral College – it’s the law that states count military mail-in
votes, even if they get there late. But politicians or the media could
capitalize on unrealistic expectations of having results quickly on
election night and try to declare a winner before all military mail-in
votes are counted – effectively throwing out the votes of our heroes.

And it would be incredibly dishonorable to not count their votes. We need
to rally public support for a simple, common sense idea all Americans
should agree on: No candidate should be declared an election winner until
all military ballots are counted.

We only have 47 days until Election Week. Will you share Count Every
Hero’s launch post and follow the campaign on [ [link removed] ]Facebook and [ [link removed] ]Twitter
to stay up to date on the latest information?

Our troops sacrifice everything to protect every American’s right to vote
– the same right they could lose if we don’t take a stand for them now.
With the election just weeks away, it’s time for every American patriot
who supports our troops to join the fight.

Thank you.
