I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but I just checked in with Cecilia and our finance team. It sounds like we just barely missed hitting our goal of 20,000 donations by midnight last night.

Let me explain why this particular goal was so important. The reality is that the Democratic establishment doesn't spend on Southern races like ours. They say Mississippi isn’t a battleground state. Well, I believe they’re wrong.

Reaching our goal of 20,000 grassroots online donations will prove to party leaders — and prove to Cindy Hyde-Smith — that our campaign has what it takes to WIN on Election Day.
